The Bulldogs saw their losing streak stretch to six games with back to back losses over the weekend. They fell 3-2 in Surrey to the Eagles on Friday night. Alexander Stahl and Jacob Terpstra scored. They dropped a 4-1 decision to the Chiefs in Chilliwack Saturday night. Gianni DiVita had the lone marker. They finally return to home ice this weekend with games against Prince George and Nanaimo Friday and Saturday.
The Port Alberni Bombers won back to back games over the weekend, to stretch their win streak to four. They shut out the Saanich Predators 5-0 on the road Friday night. Owen Ditzel scored twice, John Sheilds, Zak Green and Leim Smith added singles and Damien Knackstedt earned the shut out in net. They earned a 1-0 win over the league leading Peninsula Panthers Saturday night at home. Zach Spafford netted the only goal of the game, and Evan Grant earned the shut out in net. The Bombers host the Oceanside Generals Wednesday night.
