The Bulldogs had a series of winning streaks snapped with a 4-2 loss to the West Kelowna Warriors Wednesday night at the Multiplex.
They lost for the first time in three games, in eight games on home ice, and for the first time on home ice in regulation this season.
Jacob Wingfield and Calle Sandstrom gave them leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but the Warriors scored three times unanswered for the win.
The Bulldogs head to Powell River for a double header against the Kings Friday and Saturday, at 7:00 and 5:00pm respectively.
The Port Alberni Bombers went 1-0 and 1 at the Multiplex over the weekend.
They lost 2-1 in overtime Friday night to the Kerry Park Islanders. Kai Verbrugge had the lone goal.
They beat Victoria 3-2 in overtime Saturday night. Leim Smith had the winner, while Sean Richards and Kai Verbrugge also scored.
They next see action Saturday when they host Lake Cowichan.
The Port Alberni Black Sheep Rugby Club won a second straight game Saturday at home, 27-18 over the Cowichan Piggies.
Port Alberni Native Chase Nicklin topped the podium on Day 1 of Dubai’s Asia Cup last week. Competing as part of Canada’s Para Snoboard Team he finished in first place in the Bank Slalom event.
